COMMERCIAL LEASING: COVID-19 DEED OF RENT RELIEF AGREEMENT

Hill Legal’s Deed of Rent Relief Agreement allows Landlords and Tenants to create a written document to evidence the agreed variation of the lease, as legislated for in the COVID-19 Omnibus (Emergency Measures) (Commercial Leases and Licences) Regulations 2020  – please see our recent bulletin which explains the operation of this legislation.

 

The Deed is suitable for parties who:

 

• are parties to an ‘eligible lease’ within the meaning of the legislation;

• have reached agreement regarding the variation to the lease; and

 

• have made an agreement that is in line with the minimum requirements of the legislation.

 

If your agreement is incomplete, Hill Legal can provide advice or representation in your ongoing negotiations.

 

If your agreement goes beyond the minimum requirements of the legislation, you may require a more complex document to put this agreement into writing. Hill Legal is able to assist you with the preparation of such a document, although additional costs may apply.
